Yes! Over the years, many people have built their own
Pan-Abode. They have found it both fulfilling and
rewarding. During some stages of construction it helps
to have two people on site but these can be family
members or friends. |

build a Pan-Abode manufactured log home. There are rarely any

What materials are supplied? |

A: |
Generally just about everything
you need to build your Pan-Abode right down to the fasteners is
supplied with your home package. Windows, doors, roofing
material, logs, framing material, flooring material are all part
of our home package. |

What is the "R" value
of a Pan-Abode log home? |
|
A: |
R' Value: Resistance Value - the measure of the
effectiveness of insulation. A 4" x 6" Pan-Abode
through proper design achieves an overall value of R18
to R20 due to thermal mass (the ability of a material to
store heat). Most heat loss occurs through the
roof and windows and it is for that reason we design our
homes to minimize heat loss through those areas.
For colder climates such as Eastern Canada and Alaska,
we recommend upgrading the roof insulation to R43,
installing Low-E windows and thermal panel exterior
doors. By incorporating these measures, we ensure that
our Pan-Abode homes can withstand the coldest climates. |

because our packages range dramatically in weight and volume and
the site destination is different for each Pan-Abode. A cost will be provided once an order has been placed

We provide a full 10 year
warranty on Pan-Abode materials. Your builder will be responsible for
warranty with regard to construction. For door and windows, it
is the warranty of the specific manufacturer that will
be applicable.

Our business is cyclical so we
really have a hard time estimating how long an estimate will
take but it usually ranges from approximately 5 - 7 business days. Please ask us for
a ballpark estimate for planning purposes if you require an
estimate immediately. These are quite accurate.
